German Open: Kidambi Srikanth beaten. Rakshitha, Kiran and Unnati progress

Former world number one Kidambi Srikanth fell by the wayside even as four Indians tasted success at the German Open Super 300 badminton tournament on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Priyanshu Rajawat, Kiran George, Rakshitha Sree Santhosh Ramraj and Unnati Hooda progressed to the second round of men’s and women’s singles competition Priyanshu outwitted senior compatriot Kidambi Srikanth 21-14 21-12, while Rakshitha dished out a gritty show to overcome Malaysia’s Kisona Selvaduray 22-20 5-21 25-23.
